Gunmen Kill One Student In Kwara Poly Invasion

A National Diploma (ND) student was shot dead after suspected student cultists invaded Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, on Wednesday.
Eye-witnesses say the attackers shot sporadically, causing pandemonium as students fled for safety.
One of the bullets hit and killed the student near the institution's the Institute of Finance and Management Studies.
Rector of the institution, Alhaji Moshood Elelu alleged that the attack was connected with the polytechnics refusal to join the ongoing  polytechnic's strike.
“We have refused to join the strike and there have been various attempts to frustrate us which have been successfully resisted," Elelu said.
Our sources say there is an ongoing battle of supremacy between rival cults in the institution.
